Everytime I walked alone

Everytime I walked alone poem

Everytime I walked alone

in that city

just to feel the heat

just to feel the breath

There was that time

you didn’t want to go out

I came home completely drunk

and you embrace me anyway.

There was that time

I had to say goodbye

and I came home completely broken

without embrace anyway

There was that time

that for coming home

I had to go, but you were still there

waiting, open arms.

There was the last time

when you said goodbye to me

and I walked through it

for the last embrace

Everytime I walked alone

in that city

past the walls, and the crosses

just to feel the heat,

just to feel the breath,

and the breath of the city embraced me.
